Professional Background

My experience in workplace and labour matters was gained as a worker representative. I served 10 years as the president of the second largest Paramedic union in Ontario. This experience was supported by an honours degree in Labour Studies from York University where I won the Neil Reimer scholarship for highest GPA and graduated Summa Cum Laude. I received formal training in dispute resolution from York University, in negotiation mastery from Harvard HBS and in workplace mental health law from Osgoode  Hall Law School. I have also completed the requirement for a Master of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School

Mediation Experience

As a mediator I have mediated a wide variety of workplace and labour matters. I have experience in cases ranging from workers not getting along to complex seniority disputes.

Mediation Approach & Philosophy

I am not an ideologue. Parties hire me to help them resolve their conflict. My job is to have a toolbox of methods including facilitative, narrative, transformative and evaluative methods available to help the parties when needed.

Fees

Day - 7 hours of mediation $1800 +HST Half day - 3 hours of mediation $900 Overage is billed at $300 per hour to the nearest quarter hour
