Mediating since the 1990's in areas ranging from employment to personal injury to contract and property disputes and bankruptcy issues.  Volunteer mediator and arbitrator for the BBB for over 30 years, handling consumer and lemon-law claims.  My legal practice has at various times included employment discrimination, civil rights, divorce, personal injury, conservatorships, collections, real estate, contract disputes and both consumer and business bankruptcy and financial workouts.

Professional Background

Attorney licensed in Kentucky since 1984, admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Kentucky, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.  Certified in consumer bankruptcy law by the American Board of Certification.    President, Kentucky Bar Association Bankruptcy Section, 2013-2014.

Mediation Experience

I have mediated everything from small claims cases to personal injury cases, property disputes in divorce and commercial disputes.  Although I was initially trained as a facilitative mediator, I have used transformative and directive methods to best suit the particular case.  I have trained other  mediators in areas such as general mediation, ethics and applying mediation principles to a legal practice.
