Our goal in mediation is to allow clients to keep the matters confidential, affordable, and respectful, while reaching settlements that are a win/win result. We define mediation as a process in which a third party neutral, the mediator, assist disputing parties in reaching a mutually agreeable resolution.  We aim to facilitate information exchange, promote understanding among parties, and encourage the exploration of creative solutions.  In other methods of dispute resolution, such as litigation or arbitration, the parties rely on a third party to make a binding determination of right or wrong. We by contrast, invite the parties to engage in a potentially creative and collaborative method of problem solving, without forcing a decision on either party.

Experiência Profissional

After twenty years of informally mediating, I decided to obtain formal training and begin to practice mediation. During the twenty years prior to starting my practice, I operated my own business as a business consultant.  I have languished over business plans, obtained data, and complied diversity studies, managed information regarding multi-million-dollar capital improvement projects, and gave mom and pop entities advice on how to grow their business, to name a few. Informal mediation was always a part of what I did on a day-to-day basis.  From explaining and negotiating with a client over projected revenues that are not realistic and therefore not feasible, to explaining and documenting to an airport director why his runway project is six months overdue, the art of mediating is used on an everyday basis.
