Description of Practice

While specializing in Construction related matters (Licensed CA Contractor), John is also on the Cornell IRL Employment Law Mediator Panel for CA Neutrals, who handle cases for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. As a Commercial Mediator, a  majority of John's cases  include many Breach of Contract type matters, Real Estate related matters, and partition  of assets involving many different aspects. 

Mediation Approach & Philosophy

John works at a fast pace and is known for approaching matters in a realistic and straightforward manner that has been very successful. Attorneys, and their clients, appreciate the manner in which his mediation's are conducted, making many repeat clients. John is also know for dealing with difficult clients and never giving up on a case, especially if it doesn't settle at mediation. Most mediations are half day sessions because at that point it's pretty obvious whether settlement is close or not, and rather than drag out the mediation for the sake of billable hours, John will often send the parties off with "homework" and continue the mediation through email and phone, or set up another short session down the road. This approach has proven to be very effective in settling difficult and complex cases.

Complex Case Experience

John has handled many complex cases involving numerous parties & causes of action on difficult matters with great success. Clients include multi-national, multi-billion dollar corporations as well as many business clients from China. 

Fees

Fees range from $350.00 - $450.00 per hour with a four hour minimum.
