Professionele achtergrond

Tanya is an experienced family lawyer who now practices exclusively as a mediator. Tanya is an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and nationally accredited Mediator.

Tanya's practice specialises in family law matters and her focus is on trying to facilitate a negotiated settlement between couples who have separated so that they can avoid ending up in Court. As part of her services, she provides written agreements and parenting plans.

Tanya also teaches at the University of Western Australia's law school.

Tanya has 10 years' experience working with family law clients, first as a lawyer and now as a mediator. She has been running her own practice since 2017.

Mediation Aanpak & Filosofie

Tanya's philosophy is that it is always better for couples to try to negotiate a settlement before going to Court. The nature of the adversarial Court system often increases the conflict and animosity between the parties and they end up spending a lot of time and money litigating a case where nobody will win. Tanya also believes in being child-focussed in parenting matters so that the best interest of the children is always the central focus of the mediation.
